Logo concept
The silhouette of the swimmer wearing the cap symbolizes the colors of Brazil (Host country).
The body of the swimmer makes reference to the concrete and stones of the city of São Paulo (host city), where it owns many buildings and or we can consider that the black color makes reference to the flag of the state of São Paulo.
The pool waves symbolize the colors of the four Regional Confederations that are red, blue, yellow and green – the Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation, the European Deaf Sports Organization, the Pan American Deaf Sports Organization and the Confederation of African Deaf Sports.
The logo is designed by graphic design deaf Fernanda Morais.
